How do I move PCLaw for DOS Versions 3 and 9 to another Computer?

1. Determine the location of your PCLaw files.

• Start PCLaw.
• Press F to display the File pull-down menu.
• Press D to go to a DOS prompt.
• Write down the path shown on the DOS prompt. (For example, C:\PCLaw)
• Type EXIT and press ENTER to return to PCLaw.

2. Make sure no one is running PCLaw.
3. Copy the PCLaw directory and its contents (determined in Step 1) from the old computer to the new computer. Be sure to include all subdirectories.
4. To start PCLaw on the new computer:

• At the DOS prompt, type CD\pclawpath and press ENTER (where pclawpath represents the directory found in Step 1).
• Type INIT and press ENTER.

CAUTION: Do not remove your original PCLaw until you have verified that the program is working correctly with current data on the new computer.
